SPECIALTY CLASSES

Center Point Lace Square Shawl:
               Three Saturdays, January 28,  February 25, and March 24, 2012 1:00 3:30pm
               Class Fee: $75.00 Pre-registration required.
A square shawl, begun in the center, knit outward until a border pattern is knit, then edging added. Knit of a continuous strand off a cone of wool. Double pointed needles (set of 5), circular needles, and an understanding of yarn-overs and multiples required. The different stages of the project are begun during the class and completed independently.

Strip Afghan:
               Six Saturdays, February 4, 18, March 3, 17, 31, and March 14, 2012.
               Class Fee: $100.00 Pre-registraton required.
Each Saturday afternoon, a different strip will be begun, and eventually put together to make a 48" X 60" afghan. Knit out of worsted weight yarn on US size 8 (5.0mm) knitting needles. A good intermediate knitter project, the project is begun during the class and completed independently.

Shell Stitch Crochet Baby Blanket:
               Sunday, March 4, 2012 12:00-2:00pm
               Class Fee: $35.00.Pre-registration required. 
Crochet this shell stitch baby blanket in no time. Shell stitch is an old favorite for crocheters; a classic design for a rectangular baby blanket. Using worsted weight yarn, the project is begun during the class and completed independently.

Chevron Wimple:
               Sunday, February 5, 2012 12-1:30pm
               Class Fee: $35.00 Pre-registraton required.
This lovely, popular look is easy to knit and very stylish in a mono-chromatic yarn. Using Lanaloft or Lamb's Pride and a circular needle (or double points), you'll be wearing this in no time! The project is begun during the class and completed independently.

Crochet Cotton Coasters:

               Class Fee: $30.00 Pre-registration required. 
These fun and practical gifts whip up so fast, you may actually make some to give away! Made of worsted weight cotton and a size G crochet hook, these delightful little projects are also great for on-the-go crafting! The project is begun during the class and completed independently.

Beaded Rib Socks:

Great for first-time sock knitter, these heavy weight boot or bed socks knit up quickly. The project is begun during the class and completed independently.

Sparkle Scarf: 
               Sunday, March 11, 2012 12-2:00pm
               Class Fee: $35.00 Pre-registration required. 
This beautiful, oh-so-soft scarf is a lovely accessory, either as a gift to give or for one's self. Easy to do, once the technique has been learned, these are must-have accessories! The project is begun during the class and completed independently.

Shower of Beads Lace Scarf:
               Saturday, February 11, 2012 1:00-3:00pm
               Class Fee: $45.00 Pre-registration required.
NOT for the beginning knitter, this elegant scarf is true knitted lace, worked on Size 3 (3.25mm) knitting needles using Legacy Lace yarn by Brown Sheep is a real example of technical knitting know-how. This pattern looks harder than it is, but it DOES require attention to detail that is not for the beginner. The project is begun during the class and completed independently.
